As a young peasant girl, Mary Warren (Geraldine Farrar) is being introduced to Prince Orbelianov. Later in life, when she earns a living as a well known opera singer, they meet again. This means the thin edge of the wedge. The accidental reunion marks the beginning of a forbidden lovestory between Warren and Prince Orbelianov.
